Prior to onboarding, all of our registers and share transaction history was maintained manually in Excel. Whilst this works fine for producing current registers, it was a painful process to produce historical registers for the sake of financial statements and so on.
In addition to having to manually maintain the share register, all investor communications were also prepared by email and sent using a distribution group which needed to be manually updated each time there was a change in shareholder.
We wanted to reduce the amount of human processing required in respect of the registers and investor communications, not only to avoid human error but also to save time. As our share structure becomes more complex, the platform will also help to ensure that any changes can be made efficiently.
