Globacap recognised as one of the UK’s fastest growing tech firms by Deloitte
Globacap has been recognised as one of the UK’s fastest growing tech firms by Deloitte, with revenue growth of almost 600% since 2019. Globacap ranked 50th in the 2023 UK Deloitte Fast 50, an awards programme which recognises the 50 fastest growing tech companies in the UK based on revenue growth over the past four years.
Total private markets assets under management (AUM) reached $11.7 trillion in 2023 and have grown at an annual rate of nearly 20 per cent since 2017. This is expected to nearly double over the next five years. Despite the size and importance of this rapidly growing market, transactions are still laborious, manual and time-consuming, often taking weeks or months.
Globacap is unleashing the potential of private capital markets through digitisation and automation. Its workflow automation software-as-a-service brings public markets-like efficiency to private markets. It streamlines time-consuming processes from issuance, and ongoing administration, through to transferability and settlement of securities, reducing costs and improving efficiency for market intermediaries.
The firm recently announced a series B investment of $21m which included participation from capital markets heavyweights Moore Strategic Ventures LLC, Cboe Global Markets Inc., and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), as well as GABI Ventures and leading Asia-focused investment firm, QBN Capital. The firm is seeing increased demand from a wide range of financial institutions including capital markets intermediaries, stock exchanges and investment management firms. It currently hosts 15 whitelabels for global institutions, with 70 private placements and over $350 million in secondary transactions completed.
Alexander Green, co-founder and CCO and Joanna Tibbitt, COO of Globacap were presented with the award at the ceremony and celebration held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on November 17th, 2023.
Launched in 1998, the UK Fast 50 awards are all about growth driven by leading intellectual property and are a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship. Previous winners have come from across the UK and include some of the most dynamic players in technology and fintech including Revolut, iProov, Octopus Energy, Thunderhead, Napier and ClearBank.
“We are extremely honoured to have been selected in the Fast 50 and to be recognised as one of the UK’s fastest growing companies,” said Alexander Green, co-founder and CCO of Globacap. “This is strong validation for our mission to digitise private markets and this is only the beginning of our exciting growth journey as we leverage our deep capital markets expertise to bring new offerings to market and expand into new geographies. We offer a unique multi-asset private markets infrastructure that enables our clients to manage their capital markets business end-to-end across primary placement, register management, and secondary transfer of private assets, compressing operational workflow and maximising efficiency in a collaborative solution for issuers and investors.”
